Golden Axe Warrior

Comments: What else I can a say? It\'s Zelda 1 with a Golden Axe theme minus the dorky santa elf. This was my first SMS game I have ever played and I\'ll never forget how freaking hard this game is. Will I ever beat the living crap out of Death Adder at the final labyrinth? Maybe when I get grey hair!

Comments: Why do some people like this game? It has NO ENDING! Sure your ship could turn into robot (yay.) but not even that could save this assed out game! If you want to play a QUALITY SMS SHOOTER, play Space Harrier, Fantasy Zone I and II, or Power Strike instead.

Power Strike

Comments: I won this rare SMS cart on ebay awhile back, I all I have to say is that it is just as good as that cool NES shooter Zanac, and it even plays like that game too! (These games were both made by Compile) You get a variety of 8 different weapons, plus the game gets harder depending on your score! The graphics are not too exciting, but the music draws you in to the game! As a result, this is my favorite SMS shooter second to Fantasy Zone II. It\'s that good!

Comments: What else I can I say? It\'s freaking R-Type for crying out loud! I love the fact that there is a SMS exclusive hidden level at some point at the game (I forget where). Overall, this is one shooter that anybody should try. It is a arcade classic!

Comments: This is a really sad game. In fact it is also as sad as the Ronald McDonald game on the Genesis! I would moonwalk myself to suicide if I ever play this again!

Comments: Another great action game for this system. I kind of hate it for being repetitive, but at least it is a good time killer, and a good start of a great but forgotten series!

Wonder Boy in Monster Land

Comments: Very different from the original, but awesome as hell. This time you are knight on a mission to slay a robotic dragon. Although you know could go to shops and buy items like you would in an rpg, this game is still linear. Another great SMS classic.

Wonder Boy III: The Dragons Trap

Comments: This is where the series starts to get good! This sequel is now a hybrid of Zelda II and Metroid. As a cursed knight in a quest to find a cross to get back to normal, you travel around fighting monsters and change into six different were forms. Very fun game, and highly recommended!

Phantasy Star

Comments: Easily the best 8-bit rpg in existence! Even 14 years later, it is still hell of a lot better than Phantasy Star Online. (Sorry DC fans!)

Space Harrier

Comments: Space Harrier was a freaking awesome game at its time, especially this version although it doesn\'t have the cool graphics of the arcade game. Despite that, it is one of those games that never really gets old. Shooting fire breathing snakes in a psychadelic checkboard world will always been fun in my book.

Comments: Mix marijuana hallucinations with Williams\' arcade classic, Defender. The result? Fantasy Zone! The greatest shooting game series of all time! It has everything! Fast paced gameplay! Coloful graphics! Bizzare enemies! Weapon shops! Plus a shocking ending! It is a perfect game of shooter fans and hippies alike! Woodstock \'86 man!

Comments: The war on hallucination continues! After the awesome original cannibis shooter, Sega felt that bigger was better, and damn they are soooooo right. After several dope sessions Sega put brighter graphics, bigger levels with warp panels, freakier bosses, and more happy go cannibis music! Hell, they even put that Space Harrier dragon as part of the casting role! When the Fantasy Zone II team finished their project, they felt the marijuana in general was the key for making this bluntalicious masterpiece! Children, do not ever try this!
